Creation of Deities

The wounds in space caused by the great cataclysm opened up and became portals to other parts of the multiverse, other universes. Great power flowed in through these portals. The origin of the great cataclysm was also the source of the largest density of rifts and in this area the mixture of power and energy called forth powerful beings from other universes.

It wasn't long before the first deity appeared in this universe. Retam, the Master God, appeared on the world that he called home, which he named Aspenta. He used his powers to create gods and goddesses for this new world. He played with the deities as if they were toys, but not long passed before he realised that they were as alive as he was.

As Retam played with his new "friends" just like the worlds had played with each other and the sun before the great cataclysm, one of the gods said to him, "I am not fond of you and I do not wish to spend all my time with you. I want to play in the world as you do and be free."

Retam became sad and retired from the world, leaving it to the deities. He would return, but his powers exceeded even the immortals, and he would have to be patient and wait till the right time.
